A hotel in Downtown Detroit that emphasizes space efficiency. Reviews are mixed, but the aesthetic makes up for it IMO. Be sure to make reservations at Candy Bar!.

I frequented this hotel when I lived in Chicago and visited Detroit for work. It’s in a great location next to Capitol Park, which is home to Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters, Cafe D’Mongos Speakeasy, and more of my favorites!

A more affordable hotel option located on the West Side. While the beds are not the plushiest, the sleek aesthetic, service, and location make up for it. If you stay here be sure to check out, Mudgies, Alpino, and John K. King used book store!
